Our first Easter at home. Matt didn’t grow up celebrating Easter but my mom used to make him an Easter basket along with the ones she made for the rest of us. The last few years we’ve gone to my dad’s and I’ve cooked but it was always a mess so I’ve taken a step back.
I made us baskets and we got our traditional chocolates from Rheb’s. We had our big meal at lunch time and made my ritzy crab cake recipe, deviled eggs, potato salad and asparagus.
Lamb cake for dessert.
Very festive!
Then for dinner we just had leftover rapini pasta from Thursday as planned and a popcorn snack.
We watched Cookie’s Fortune (takes place at Easter) and Past Lives.
It was nice to be home and relax on a holiday! We’ve never really done that until recently.
