Day 1739: Pad Thai

For lunch I had a turkey sandwich and some Thanksgiving chips and Matt had his leftover spaghetti.

I had my class. It’s the last one for a while due to the holidays. Only minor homework.

I had ordered some Milk Bar for Christmas so I had to wait for that to be delivered so I could freeze the cake. I was hoping it would come early but it didn’t arrive until early evening. It’s so dark and rainy out!

We ended up getting Thai food, the local place recently reopened and Matt worked late again.

Their appetizers are really pricey but good!

Day 1737: Lasagna

We cut the turkey in half and it was still icy this morning! We roasted it anyway and made sandwiches with it for lunch.

For dinner Matt got the spaghetti special and and I got lasagna and we split the salad.

I did some button prep and wound yarn that finally arrived. I had ordered it back before Matt’s surgery as something to do then and it took a month to arrive. It was a holiday themed kit so that was surprising. It was also a poorly done skein and I had to detangle it inch by inch vs using my swift. It was way too expensive for that!

Day 1736: Turkey!

We had fake Christmas at lunch time—turkey, stuffing balls, broccolini, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut and cranberry sauce. We also got cupcakes from the bakery.

It was fun and the food was good! Not too many leftovers but we have that extra turkey!

The turkey looked like it was from a magazine.

For dinner we had packaged Irish stew from Costco and Matt made biscuits. Why did the stew have baby carrots??

Day 1732: Takeout

I had my class today so I took my spaghetti and meatballs leftovers to that.

The plan was to make a pork loin for dinner but my class ran long and I got a migraine. Matt worked late and had to run to get Dottie’s medicine from the vet so we ended up getting Chinese food. It was fine and at least we will have leftovers for lunch.

At least I made some cute buttons?

We have a lot of weird homework though. She wants us to find and cover a rock with fabric??! I also have prep something else, make two more buttons and finish a third, Oy. I don’t really have the random craft stuff other people seem to have. We have a lot of stuff, don’t get me wrong, but I am not a sewer and I don’t keep random stuff just in case it is useful someday. This comes up so much when either of us start something new. Matt got a tablet loom and the directions say to use a dowel or stick of a certain size which it didn’t come with. WTF.

Day 1731: Tacos

I ran to the other house to defrost the turkey for this weekend. Somehow I always have so much to drop off!

We had some ground chicken and a pork loin there so I brought that back. Matt made the chicken into meatballs for a meal later this week because it was sell by today.

I came home and had some canned soup and Chex Mix. I was going to make some but Matt got some at Costco. It’s not bad! Matt had leftover chicken and rice.

For dinner we had Costco chicken tacos. I think they could use spice but are the most solid of their meal options.

Hard boiled some eggs. Maybe I will make deviled eggs? I wanted the carton so they had to go!

Day 1730: Spaghetti & Meatballs

I did one of my rare Trader Joe’s shops for some spices and knockoff Goddess dressing. I thought it might be crowded but it wasn’t and they had a ton of people working. I got some mystery bags and got a Maryland as usual! I have like 4, all from mystery bags.

For lunch I had a chicken-jam sandwich. Matt had some soup.

For dinner Matt had some chicken and rice and I got the spaghetti and meatball special with garlic bread and salad.
