Today had an inadvertent theme: Thanksgiving! The Thanksgiving sandwich is back at the pit beef place so we got that for lunch. I feel like it was missing some cranberry from the cranberry mayo but it was still good. It really really all we like from there currently.

The meal prep place has been having “turkey days” so we had already picked up a prepped meal of turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans and stuffing for dinner on Friday. It was really good!
I don’t know what we are doing on actual Thanksgiving this year. My brother didn’t want to get together (which is fine, we are doing Fake Christmas in early December) and normally we’d spend it with my parents. My mom’s last Thanksgiving I cooked and I’ve cooked since. We went to see my in-laws in NYC when we were first married, but we got caught in traffic for 8+ hrs and stopped. I don’t think my mother-in-law is hosting and since she refuses to mask or take any COVID precautions we can’t stay with her or eat indoors.
It’s only one day and Matt works the day after so travel is tricky anyway. Matt said maybe we could make duck or a goose but aren’t goose super big and fatty? I don’t know if that would work. We do have a duck in the freezer. I don’t know. I’m kind of worn out and Matt is having out patient surgery soon so we will have to see how it goes.
