Went to Target to pick up a prescription and tried to do so shopping but the place was trashed. I remember when Target was nice to shop at!
Had our leftover Chinese food for lunch and then for dinner we made steelhead trout and a corn-tomato salad. We were going to have cornbread but didn’t realize we were out of milk! Had an ice cream sandwich instead.
Matt ran out after dinner and got some milk and eggs and things.
Errand running took forever! Maps gave me the wrong direction and then I got stuck on so many single lane streets under construction.
I did get stuff to spin at the yarn store, returned the boots I can’t get on by myself, and did a tiny shop at Lidl. Lidl did not have what I wanted but I got some fish and plants
For lunch we had coddies and crab slaw from the meal prep place. They were really tasty and filling. I think it could have been a dinner instead.
More meal prep food for dinner—meatloaf, green beans and mashed potatoes.
Unexpectedly long day dealing with my dad’s insurance company.
For lunch Matt stopped at the food prep place and their daily hot lunch was a burger and macaroni salad so we had that and he got us food for tomorrow.
For dinner we had Chinese takeout. The carrot situation was a little better.
I worked on my KAL shawl and it’s getting heavy, I might stop at the smaller size, it’s already a lot to knit and the full size is massive. It looks cute though.
For lunch we had pasta salad from the meal prep place and then dinner will pork medallions and mashed potatoes from the same place and we made corn from the farm stand.
Kind of a blah day! I decided not to finish my scarf from the class because I learned the technique and don’t really wear scarves. Now I want to finish the KAL shawl before my class at the end of the month.
Had soup for lunch and Matt is back on the noodles and cottage cheese after a brief grocery shop.
Got stuffed trout and orzo at the meal prep place for dinner. It was surprisingly big and tasty! I do like how their food all doesn’t taste the same of that makes sense.
I dropped the tags off at the MVA today. I was nervous because the form you could print and bring in had a space for the title number and I didn’t have that anymore but the clerk said I didn’t need anything but the tags and filled it out for me and even processed a refund.
For lunch I had salmon and noodles from the meal prep place. Matt had his yesterday but with rice so he picked up some Chinese food for himself.
For dinner we got three kinds of chaat and saag paneer.
I sold my dad’s car today! I got a good deal at Carmax and they seemed to know how to do a sale from an estate.
The day started rough because I needed a jump and had to go to AutoZone to get a battery before taking it in and it was making a funny noise. But I got a battery and the noise stopped and they offered more than Kelley Blue Book.
I went right to the bank and deposited the check! Then I picked up chicken/lamb combo from the Halal place and had a super late lunch.
For dinner we had stew topped with mashed potatoes from the meal prep place and I had some tomato cucumber salad.
We cleared a spot to the “beach” at the river house! It had grown over a bit.
Today was the first day of my button making class! It’s virtual and I decided I’d take the class at the river house since it’s so quiet and has great light. It went pretty well! I think I will like button making, it’s a pretty small project which I like. A few snafus like they sent us an awl that was too small so I had to order another but there was a woman from the museum that is sponsoring the class there and she kept everyone on task and was very observant. I hope she is there every week!
I also waxed some furniture. Slowly the place is coming together!
Before class I had some “turkey club” pasta salad from the meal prep place that was pretty good! The pasta was small but it worked.
For dinner we had chicken parm from the same place.
Tomorrow I’m going to try to sell my dad’s car. Hopefully it goes well! I can’t find his registration but according to the MVA pamphlet I only need the title.
