We had leftover tuna for lunch and then Matt had to work late so he ended up getting the spaghetti special on his way home.
I finished my log cabin square from my class Friday! I think I will keep it with the directions as a sample.

We made tuna sandwiches for lunch and tried out some of the popcorn I got yesterday. Spicy!
For dinner we got pizza. The shrimp is strangely good!

I defrosted some bangers for tomorrow’s dinner so we will see if they are okay. Some things have been kind of funky out of the freezer lately. I think because we had so many power outages the last few months.
Had a good night at the hotel—my room was big and my air purifier worked well.
Ended up getting fast food for lunch during my conference break. It was raining and most of the regular restaurants in the area didn’t open to noon and timing-wise that didn’t work.
Learned how to make Dorset buttons and color work.
Drove home, stopping for fancy popcorn in York.
Matt made us steak and a mashed potato casserole with spinach and cheese. He also got me a fancy doughnut.

I headed to PA for a knitting retreat/conference and spent the day going to getting local food at a local supermarket to bring home, tiny museums, including one about fly fishing before my class at 6 pm.
I didn’t really have lunch, I snacked on a corn cookie from Denim Coffee and a part of sticky bun from Mr Sticky and Goldfish.

After class I went to this fast casual egg Indian place that was open until 10 pm and got a spicy egg curry (eaten with chapati) and a “Bombay Grill sandwich” which was a triple decker with samosa filling one side and toppings/sauce on the other. Both were really good. I was so hungry—just the sandwich would have been enough for a regular day.

We got club sandwiches for lunch and then had chicken parm for from the meal prep place.

Lots of rain today! Nothing like the hurricane down in FL but quite a lot.
I was supposed to have my button class today but the instructor was sick and they canceled it at midnight. I hope they make it up before the end of the fall classes. Nothing about this class has gone smoothly—today was already a make up day. I really don’t want to pay for the next set of classes before we actually make it through a regular class that isn’t half introduction.
I went to World Market and got some snacks and ornaments. I think we are doing a tree at the river house this year since we are having my brother over for (early) Christmas so I have been looking for ornaments for that. Our home tree is all glass food ornaments and I think this one will be birds but different materials.
It was really gross weather out and the dogs are driving me nuts. Especially Mitzi who has returned to puppy levels of following me around.
For lunch we had spinach quiche and then for dinner we had a shrimp pasta and a tomato salad from the meal prep place, supplemented with extra empress tomatoes I had bought at Lidl.

We had chicken sandwiches for lunch and ranch habanero chips from the Herr’s plant while my car got worked on. New tires, oil change, the works! It sounds so good now!
Matt ran out to get the dog’s medication and picked up food from the meal prep place.
We had stuffed cod and spinach-mushroom rice. Their fish portions are really big! Not the salmon as much as the others but it was a lot of food. He also picked up some tomato cucumber salad so we had that too.

He said the workers said the food is good for a week after they make it but that doesn’t sound right to me! I mean, it’s basically all leftovers and they are supposed to be eaten within 4 days. They do date it so we always get them and eat them in that time frame.
I do feel like we should get back into cooking but things are so hectic here and every time I buy food we keep not making it or eating it all.
Anyway! Tomorrow is my button class so I’m excited about that. Then there is one next week already because this is the rescheduled class. Hopefully homework won’t be too bad because I have 3 classes this weekend.
Went to Lidl and got some plants and vegetables. This location also didn’t have Irish butter! I also returned a footstool to Target via UPS because it didn’t give me the option to return it in-store which I didn’t know what possible.
For lunch we had leftover chicken in a new-to-us flavor of mi goreng. It was pretty tasty.
For dinner we sautéed cabbage, onions and kielbasa together and tossed in frozen pierogi. All from Lidl last week. It wasn’t bad but not my favorite frozen pierogi.
And it was ugly.

For lunch we had scrambled eggs with leftover meat and basil from the panini and toast.

Cupcake snack

Then for dinner we roasted zucchini and got the chicken/cornbread/fries special from the sub place.
It looked like it was going to pour all day but I don’t think we actually got rain.
I did manage to ply the yarn I spun yesterday.
Today was Worldwide Spin in Public Day so I met up with guild members at the park and spun. It was really overcast but nice weather. People were very friendly.
On my way back I picked up cupcakes and Matt made us panini for lunch.

For dinner we had Costco chicken and bread and the rest of the tomato-corn salad.
