Day 1615: Meatloaf

For lunch Matt got me a sandwich from the deli and picked up some cookies because he was going to a retired colleague’s house for lunch with another coworker. She made pizza. She’s actually who we got Dottie from, she was her elderly brother’s dog and he was in poor health and then died.

Matt got back and mowed the lawn a bit and then we heated up meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans and a container of grilled veggies from the meal prep place. It was good as always but I don’t think I’d get the grilled veggies again, they were already pretty well-cooked and heating them again didn’t do them any favors. They oddly gave us very thick slices of meatloaf instead of two thinner ones this time.

I do feel like we need to get back to cooking at some point but I’m still really overwhelmed by life. Next week is busy and then the next week we are off and have some day trips planned. The meal prep place (auto correct changed that to Neil Perez????) is actually pretty reasonably priced and has normal meals with normal portion sizes. Not all of them but the ones we pick. It’s more than I could probably make the same meals for but no waste and much cheaper than regular takeout.
