what we ate

Day 1544: Ube Doughnut

Today we had minor elder care calls but spent half the day in Frederick. We got lunch and ate it at the creek and my tuna was oddly sweet but edible. We went to the Civil War Medicine Museum which was something we had passed for years and never went in. The woman working there kept encouraging us to come to a talk but it was after we wanted to leave. The museum was oddly peppy and interesting.

We went to Magpie Fibers which seems to be a big deal in the yarn world. I didn’t get anything that I was looking for but Matt got a cute crochet kit to try.

On our way out we stopped and picked up doughnuts at the Gwenie’s Pastries and they were so good! It has been a bake good heavy week but we’ve been near places with fun bakeries we don’t normally get to!

Then we tried an Indian restaurant that isn’t too far from us that used to be a pizza place with some Indian/Indo-Chinese and Nepali dishes that seems to have shifted to more non-pizza food. It was pretty good! I love Indo-Chinese and their lamb noodles were good. We also got chaat fries.

We have so many leftovers—maybe two more dinners?
