Really pork filled day. I had the pulled pork from the pit beef place for lunch.

My brother came over to my dad’s house to get the stuff he stored there and that went well. It went long though and time got away from us. I ended up coming home and heating up the pork, grilled pineapple and rice from the meal prep store.
Matt grabbed us some crab cake sandwiches from the cheaper meal prep place for lunch after my appointment and quick trip to my dad’s house. They do one hot lunch a day (today it was crab cake sandwiches and coleslaw) and he also picked up some dinners for us.

We were hoping to scatter the ashes tomorrow but I still don’t have them!
For dinner I heated up a meatloaf meal with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Finished my chicken!
For lunch Matt got us some pit turkey because he took a couple bereavement days. Then for dinner I added some zucchini to the Singapore noodles I got as an extra Tuesday.
Still no news from the crematorium! We had really hoped to scatter the ashes Saturday but I can’t see that happening now.
Went to get a sandwich and sandwich ingredients and they were out of the meat? So ended up eating leftover Chinese food instead.
I got grocery delivery and ended up eating the baby potatoes I bought weeks ago, some sausage and squash for dinner.

Still no news about when I can pick up my dad’s ashes. I have a doctors appointment in the opposite direction Friday and I am picturing them calling during that.
Had a fish sandwich for lunch then we got Chinese food for dinner. The highlight was the Albanese True to Fruit Exotic Fruits gummy bears we had for dessert.
Made some chicken progress.

Sorted through paperwork. Still haven’t heard back from the crematorium. We’d really like to scatter the ashes Saturday. I feel so on edge waiting!
I did drop off some returns so that broke up the day a little bit but everything still feels surreal.
Long day. Still waiting for my dad’s ashes and they won’t give me a timeline.
I made scrambled eggs with some knackwurst for lunch and then ravioli and pesto from Costco.
I started another chicken because it’s more engrossing than the shawl I had started.

We came home and made pancakes! The house was so hot.

The pancakes were really good though!
For dinner we made the Costco taco kit. Classic but I hate the packaging. It always comes open! It was so hot in the house, some cheese escaped into the cooler bag and started to melt.

Spent the day at my dad’s house tossing out obvious trash and escaping another power outage.
Went to Costco and got a chicken and made sandwiches with TOOM.
For dinner we had the yakisoba meal from Costco and it was okay. Then we picked up dessert from the diner and they had mouse mousse!

I remember getting that on a trip in college to NYC and bringing it home on the bus.
