Cold and windy today! I ended up at the bakery and thought they’d busy but it was empty. I got a cute cake sampler for $6.
Then I went to Lidl to get dried porcini mushrooms because Matt wanted them for the risotto and Italian week started today. I got some marinated mushrooms and artichokes and the oil-free sun-dried tomatoes I like.
Matt went to the Italian store and we finally have capers again! Very Italian grocery heavy day but Lidl is so much cheaper for the mushrooms and they are very good.
For lunch we had turkey sandwiches then Matt made us an antipasto platter and fennel-mushroom risotto with scallops for dinner.
And of course cake! The cake is almost petit fours but not enrobed in chocolate or icing.
We watched 13 Going on 30 and Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.
