Day 1379: Pork Loin

I think this year is the first year that (so far) we have not missed a day in the advent calendar.

We missed a couple days of candle lighting for Hanukkah because we had dinner late and the candles burn for so long (and you can’t blow them out) it ended up being to late to light them before bedtime would be come an issue.

For lunch I had the scraps of Chinese food leftovers and for dinner we had a tiny seasoned pork loin and Matt made some sautéed gnocchi with spinach, mushrooms and some cheese leftover from Sunday. Very good but we forgot to refrigerate the leftover pork! It was very hot when I checked on it and then I thought he did when he went in the kitchen. At least it wasn’t very expensive but we had deliberately left some over for at least a lunch,

We finalized our Christmas Eve and Christmas menus so I can shop for that. Tomorrow we are making a turkey breast but no clue for the rest of the week. I hope we’ll have a lot of turkey leftover for at least one more dinner.
