We watched some Van der Valk and made sandwiches for lunch with the leftovers from the Italian market on Friday.
It was kind of humid and/or raining all day!
We swung by my dad’s and I helped him go through his mail and bills.
Then we went to Costco for a chicken but ended up getting a popcorn popper, some feta dip, mushrooms, sandwich bread, naan and some snacks. Snack foods are so expensive at the regular stores now! I pretty much only get them at Costco now where unlike some other products, they’ve remained a deal. I was hopping to get the jalapeño pimento cheese again but all they had was regular. I wonder if it is seasonal? The dips section was moved and pretty small this visit. You’d think they’d sell a lot of dip during football season? That always seems like a thing in advertising.
For dinner we had corn on the cob and naan, feta dip, chicken and tomato wraps. Not bad! I’m glad the dip was tasty, it was expensive but I thought it might be a low effort way to jazz up the chicken.
The plan is to defrost some food and continue cleaning out the freezer this week.
I can’t wait to try the popcorn maker. I use my current one a ton but it doesn’t have an on/off switch (like a lot of popcorn makers) and I hate plugging it in the outlet like that.
Look at that popping chute!
