I had to go to Costco this morning to get Matt’s birthday present I had ordered and delivered there so we wouldn’t have to be home. I was not in a Costco mood but likely it wasn’t too crowded!
I got lemons for a recipe for the book, an bunch of chips/pretzels/popcorn (we don’t really need any but good expiration dates and the prices at the regular store are bonkers lately), vitamins, the chicken taco kit for tomorrow because are going out of town for the day, and the sandwiches with a salad for our lunch.
I haven’t seen those sandwiches for sale for months! They are almost too big for lunch and I was tempted to get one and split it but Matt reminded haven’t had much in the way of regular meals the last couple days and am still fighting my migraine. I wish they came with a different salad though. I cannot finish all that romaine!

I got some work done then laid in bed quietly for an half hour. I really don’t want to have to take my migraine meds four days in a row! It is nice weather out and I feel like I wasted the day not being outside.
Hopefully tomorrow will be fun, our plan is to go to a festival in a different city but it’s supposed to rain. I think we are going to try to get there super early and hopefully be able to see what we want and then get lunch there before it rains.
I also want to hit up the historical society there. I had contacted them a couple weeks ago about my recipe research and they never responded. Maybe if I just show up someone will talk to me? Why is everything so tedious? It’s a cute city but I normally have no reason to go there so bundling a visit with the festival made sense. It’s a little far to go just on the hope they might have something.
For dinner Matt made us steaks, smashed potatoes and mushrooms with escarole. I bought the escarole like two weeks ago! How was it still good? But it was.
